Beauty In All.

Allow me to start with this. Everyone is imperfect. No one that has walked this Earth, except Jesus, is perfect. Literally everyone feels insecure about something on their body so don't feel you're alone. I myself, am insecure about many dumb things. One big one is my acne. I'm not just over exaggerating when I say I'm the one in a room of people with the worst skin. I know everyone gets acne, but mine just decided to rent a room on my face and stay for much longer than a week. Then after, it also decided to buy a house on my face and become temporary scarring until they decide to move out. Living with acne sucks, but I know I can't do anything but continue to take care of it. Another insecurity I have is my psoriasis. Last week, it came out on my neck and was itching and burning. But thankfully it went away. Having insecurities can be tough sometimes. One thing you need to keep in mind is that God made you the way you are for a reason. He's not trying to torture you by giving you acne or psoriasis, he is making you strong.

Know you are worth and know you are beautiful. Try not to compare yourself to others because everyone is beautiful in their own special way. I know that seems so cliche, but it's the truth. If you feel insecure, because you are being bullied, do NOT worry about their opinion. The only reason they are saying those hateful things are because they are jealous of how beautiful of a person you are. God created you beautifully. Here are some Bible verses to help you love yourself.

Psalm 139:14 - "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

1 Samuel 16:7 - "But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at things the people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Song of Songs 4:7 - "You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you."

God created us all which makes us beautiful. Everything he has ever created is beautiful, especially us.

Here are some tips on how to love yourself:

1. Start telling yourself what you love about yourself instead of what you hate.

2. Focus less on approval of others.

3. Surround yourself with uplifting friends. Don't hangout with people who bring you down or make you feel not worth.

4. Forgive your past self.

5. Do things that make YOU happy.

6. Be honest with yourself.

Let's focus on number three, "Surround yourself with uplifting friends. Don't hangout with people who bring you down or make you feel not worth." If you are hanging out with people who are constantly saying negative things about you or never compliment you for the things you have accomplished, you have to get out of that "friendship". I wouldn't just shut them out. I would send the a quick, nice text simply saying that, "We can no longer continue to be friends, because I always feel less than when i'm around you. Until you learn to stop putting others down, we can no longer be friends." Simple as that. If you have a person in your life like that, do something about it please, because you don't deserve to be put down.

No matter what shape, size, race, gender, etc. you are, you are absolutely beautiful!

In conclusion, loving yourself can definitely be hard sometimes especially when you are comparing yourself to other people. Whenever you are feeling insecure, remember that God built every part of you, and he has made you perfectly. Remember, you are gorgeous inside and out.
