Lost.
Jealousy can come rushing in like a tornado. Some occasions, you can feel it coming and you can push it away. Other times, it comes crashing down upon you and you can't help but let it get the best of you. You start to pick out everything wrong with you and your life to compare it to someone else's. You start to feel lost.
Everything just feels wrong in your life. Like you have no purpose. You have the same interests as your friends. You were the second to pick up on it. You feel like you're taking their hobby. They start to become successful and you're in the background. You start to think, "why continue?" So you give up on it. You're left with nothing to do now. You're not interested in sports or music, so now what? There's absolutely nothing to do. You feel like you have no purpose. You feel lost.
You have your own personality and there is truly no one else like you. But you think that's all you have going for you. You don't know where to go or what to do with your life. What career are you going to pursue? What are your goals in life? Oh, you don't know? You feel lost.
You have no goals in your life, so you're living life day by day to see what happens. You start to not look forward to the future. You're focused on the past from when you thought you had life figured out. Now you don't. You're lost.
What do you do to fix this? "I don't want to be lost." "I want a successful future." They said, "Figure it out. It's not that hard." They don't understand. They're not lost. There's only one thing left to do.
"God. Sometimes, I pretend to know where i'm going when in reality, I have no idea. I'm lost. Grant me the humility to seek Your direction for my life. Give me the confidence to follow where You send me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."
That should do the trick.
God can do anything. Put your trust in Him and He will help you. All you have to do is ask. He never fails.
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
-Psalms 73:26
